Vol.9 (2020)
Volume 9 was published against the extraordinary backdrop of the global COVID-19 pandemic, which profoundly influenced the life sciences research landscape. The volume included contributions addressing coronavirus molecular biology, cell entry mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2, and innate immune responses at the cellular level, reflecting the scientific community's urgent pivoting toward pandemic-relevant research. Despite global disruptions, IJCSB maintained its publication schedule, demonstrating editorial resilience. Research on biosafety, vaccine platform technologies, and antiviral drug discovery enriched this volume considerably. Alongside pandemic-related content, fundamental research in cellular metabolism, mitochondrial biogenesis, and epigenetic programming continued to be published. Volume 9 affirmed IJCSB's relevance and adaptability during one of science's most challenging and significant years.
